  • RT Pro SxS Racers Top the Podium at the Big Buck GNCC

RT Pro Big Buck GNCC SxS Race Report

RT Pro racers John Henry and Sean Bogdan dominated the XC2 SxS Pro Sport class at the Big Buck GNCC with John Henry taking the class win and teammate Sean Bogdan finishing second place.

The rough and dusty conditions were no match for the RT Pro team in Union, South Carolina this past weekend, as they charged through the rooted out trails in the second round of GNCC Racing SxS competition.

RT Pro’s John Henry started on the tenth row of his class and grabbed the holeshot. Henry charged hard and picked off the competition one by one and held a fast pace all the way to the checkered flag for the XC2 class win, which was extra special for John because it was the last race this season co-piloted with his son, Colton, who is entering the Army before the next round of GNCC racing. “It was rough out there and it was really tough to pass, but our RT Pro equipment held up great and got us out front. This win is really huge for us; I couldn’t be happier and I hope to do it again,” said John Henry.

Sean Bogdan also ran a smooth and consistent race and claimed a second place finish in the XC2 class. “The competition was huge out there. There was a lot of traffic and it was rough but our RT Pro gear really helped out and we had a good race. Overall, it was a great day with our teammate John Henry winning and us following in second,” said Bogdan.

RT Pro’s Joe Krcelich was leading early in the XC2 class, but a slight issue caused him to back off a bit, but he powered through and claimed a fourth place finish to maintain the XC2 class points lead. “Our RT Pro equipment kept us going out there and got us to the finish line. We are happy with fourth for now. We still have the points lead, and we are hoping for another win at the next round,” said Krcelich.

In the XC1 SxS Pro class, RT Pro’s Mouse Pratt round out the top five in his class, which boosted him to seventh in the championship points race. “Everything worked great out there for us today. Our RT Pro equipment is the best. It was rutted and there were roots everywhere, but our machine handled it. We weathered the storm and came out with a fifth place finish,” said Pratt.

In the Polaris single seat class, Sam Yokley was only able to complete two laps after clipping a tree early in the race, but he pushed on to salvage some points, and his efforts paid off. Yokley earned a top five finish, which only dropped him back to second place in the point’s race and just one point out of the lead.

Round seven of the 2015 GNCC series is the next time round on the schedule for SxS racing at the Mountaineer Run GNCC on May 23rd in Masontown, WV where the RT Pro team will be going for the top of the podium.

  • 2015 John Yokley Big Buck GNCC Side by Side Race Report

Team Big Country Powersports Pushes Ahead After a Rough Day at The Big Buck GNCC

Team Big Country Powersports headed into the Big Buck GNCC on Saturday with great momentum in the championship chase, but an unfortunate turn of events on the opening lap left Team Driver John Yokley sidelined for the remainder of the afternoon.

Following a great start to the 2015 GNCC Side-by-Side series with a second place finish at round one, Yokley and his passenger Jarrod McClure lined up along the front row. Yokley fired his RZR S 900 right away as he chased XC1 Pro points leader Treavis Poynter into the woods on the opening lap.

The front-runners upped the pace right away to open a gap on the rest of the field, where Yokley began setting up his pass for the lead. However, just before checking into the finish for lap one, the team noticed something was wrong.

“I was really pushing Treavis on the first lap and I was taking a great line for the lead but the car ran off the track and that’s when we realized the hub was stripped,” Yokley said. “The car was working so well up to that point and Treavis and I were able to put some good time between us and third place.”

“I couldn't have asked for a better handling machine on that fast track. We’re feeling good about our setup and looking forward to the next rounds,” Yokley added.

After two rounds, Team Big Country Powersports holds sixth place in the championship standings. The GNCC Side-by-Side Championship returns to action Saturday, May 23 in Masontown, West Virginia for the Mountaineer Run GNCC. For more information on the team, please visit www.yokleyracing.com.

  • RT Pro - Demo / Tuning Days at Badlands, IN 5/15-5/16

PAC Racing Springs has rented out the Badlands Offroad Park in Attica Indiana for the entire week of 5/11-5/16. During the beginning of the week PAC will be working with their Ultra4 and Jeep customers and we will be working with some of our race teams for development but on May 15 and 16 RT Pro and PAC will be putting our full attention on our UTV customers and hosting a RT Pro Demo Weekend!

If you are anywhere near this park you should come see us. We're putting together a lunch for Saturday and we will be on site with some of our staff, some shop cars and new products to show. We will also be fully stocked with spring kits and will be working with PAC and their new service trailer complete with shock dyno to test and tune your suspension with our spring kits.

One of our most well known RT Pro team drivers, William Yokley will be present for this event with his personal 2015 race machine as well as a full setup for custom shock tuning as well. Additionally, Erik Miller of Miller Motorsports and team RT Pro will be there with his fully built RT Pro RZR XP 1000 he ran the 2015 King of the Hammers with for you to check out and maybe even get a lucky ride in.

If you've ever wanted to see how RT Pro Dual Rate springs work on your machine before you buy them now is the time! When you schedule in advance, we will install a brand new spring kit on your UTV for $100 and spend up to 30 minutes with you in your machine working to get the setup the way you like it. If you aren't impressed we'll take them back off and you're only out $100. If you like improvements, you can pay the rest of the kit price (with credit from deposit) and drive away with the kit! If you already know you want them just let us know and we'll still install them and ride with you there.

William Yokley is a 5 time national GNCC XC1 champion and has more seat time and testing experience with almost anyone else out there. Since we started working together last fall we've done so much development and testing work together already it only seemed natural to start working with him for shock valving with our spring kits too. William is now offering shock rebuild / revalve service to retail customers and will be on site during this event to work with you (for a reasonable fee) to dial in your suspension if you want to go even further than a spring kit.

We have MANY more details to come but we wanted to put this out there ASAP so people can start planning for it now. For more details and to schedule a test session for springs or valving contact our sales/customer service dept. HERE and they will get you connected to the right people. Otherwise call 616-928-0616 or take your chances and shoot me a PM.

As a little teaser... We will also be debuting these bad boys over the weekend as well!
