RTP5401806-01RT Pro Nerf BARS for Polaris Ace 900XC

Coldwater, MI — The engineers at RT Pro have been hard at work designing a wide range of suspension options and body armor and accessories for the late model for the 2017 UTV lineup. One of the latest products to hit the market are nerf bars for the 2017 Polaris Ace 900XC. Designed, tested and built right here in the USA, these nerf bars are built to provide extra protection and rigidity keeping the sides of your 900XC out of harms way by deflecting rocks, trees and other hazards when you’re bombing down tight trails. The design offers additional tire coverage and features a rear kicker to keep the rear tires from getting snagged offroad. Additionally they make for a sturdy step to get in and out of your side by side.

The bars are built from 1” OD x .095” DOM tubing with 16ga steel, formed and dimple die cut with the RT logo. These nerf bars are fully welded and bring a new level of strength and rigidity by tying into the Ace 900XC at 3 mounting points. They come finished in a durable gloss black powdercoat finish with all mounting hardware included. Installation is a breeze as these bars bolt-on with no need to cut or weld. Upgrade your 2017 Polaris Ace 900XC protection with these new nerf bars and other accessories from RT Pro.

  • SIMS Race Report WORCS Stop 9

June 18, 2017- Devore, CA- I had a great time at Glen Helen Raceway last weekend racing at WORCS, round 9!  I was able to get in a few practice laps the day before the race.  My car was running great and the track was tons of fun, so I was pumped for race day!

Summer is definitely here!  It was well over 100 degrees when we lined up to race on Saturday afternoon.  My class was the fourth row to start and there were seven cars in my class.  The rows ahead of us took off one by one with a full minute in between each rows start.  As row three took off in front of us, I started my car and got ready to go.  The flagger looked at his watch and I loaded up.  As the flag flew, I hit the gas and took off!  I got the hole shot and rounded the first turn around Talladega hill!  1C8C3027

I was able to stay in the lead, but the second place finisher was on my bumper and the rest of the pack was not far behind.  I knew it was going to be a long, hot race, so I focused and settled in.

As I headed out on the first lap, I was running in front, but I knew I was going to have to drive hard and fast the entire race.  The second place finisher stayed right behind me, and there was no room for error.  I stayed with it and was able to get into a good rhythm.  Every time I would make a little progress and gain a little bit more of a lead, the second place finisher would catch me and I’d have to try again to regain the cushion in between us. 1C8C3175With each lap, I would encounter traffic in front of me and I had to pick my lines and move quickly so I didn’t slow down.  For a full 40 minutes, we put in some serious work.  I stayed on the gas with the second place finisher pushing me.  It was a great race and in the end I was able to stay in the lead and crossed the finish line in 1st place!   184A2865

Our race schedule lightens a little through the summer, so we will be doing prep work and testing on the car.  In July, I am looking forward to racing at the DIRT series, round 6.

  • SIMS Race Report DIRT Stop #5

Devore, CA- June 5, 2017- I had an awesome weekend racing both the DIRT Series and the Quad X Racing Series at Glen Helen Raceway last Sunday!  Unfortunately, our practice was cancelled on Saturday, but we were able to practice for about 15 minutes on Sunday morning before racing started.  At the driver’s meeting, we were given the race schedule for the day.  When both series race on the same day, the line-up is usually long.  Sunday was no exception.  My class was race number 17 for the Quad X Series and race 21 for the DIRT Series- the last race of the day.

As the day progressed, it was my classes turn to head to the line.  The 1000 class would race at the same time, and they would start first.  The flagger dropped the flag and the 1000 class took off.  I loaded up and our flag dropped.  I hit the gas and got the hole shot!  As we rounded the first turn, I settled in and stayed on the gas.  I gradually increased my lead and as the checked flag flew, I crossed the finish line in first place!

We only had a few races in between, so I headed back to our pit to relax for a minute before racing again.  It wasn’t long before we headed back up to the start line to line up for the first moto of the DIRT Series.  We lined-up, the flagger made sure everyone was ready, and the flag dropped.  I floored it and was able to get the hole shot again!  I drove almost identically to the first race and I felt like the lines I had picked were great.  As we finished out the race, I crossed the finish line in first place!

The day progressed, and then it was our turn again to head to the start line to race our second motos.  The 1000 class took off before my class again, and then our green flag dropped.  I stepped on the gas and was able to get the hole shot again!  The track had changed a little from all of the racing that had been done throughout the day, but I still felt like I was picking good lines.  About halfway through the race, I could feel something was wrong with my car.  I radioed to my pit crew and told them that something wasn’t right, but I was still able to continue on.  I had slowed down a little to compensate, giving second place a chance to catch me.  I stayed on the gas as much as I could, and I was focused and determined not to let a mechanical failure take me out of the race.  As the checked flag flew, I crossed the finish line first with second place on my bumper.  I was stoked!

    OHJ_7462x

We hurried back to our pit to figure out what was wrong with my car before the next race, and we didn’t have much time.  My team was able to get my car fixed and back to the start line in time to start the next moto.  We lined up for the last race of the day and took off from the line.  I took the hole shot for the fourth time, rounded the turn they call Talladega, and floored it!  Second place stayed close and was diving hard and fast to catch me with the rest of the pack behind.  I stayed on the gas and was able to stay out in front of the pack.  As the race came to a close, I crossed the finish line in first place!

    OHJ_7493x

I brought home 1st overall for the day in the Quad X Racing Series and 1st overall for the day in the DIRT Series!  It was a great day of racing!  The car was performing well and I was able to get out in front and stay there for all four motos.  It was a great feeling!

  • Louisville Unlimited Offroad Expo Report – 6-8-17

This was a great show for RT Pro with a huge customer turnout and a world class staff who put the event on. We had an excellent booth space being the very first company all show attendants would see as they walked in to the show and the last they would see when walking out. We had a couple of RT Pro sponsored GNCC racer Jesi Stracham’s Polaris Ace factory race cars on display showing off some new preproduction products as well as our company RZR XP 1000 with our new 20” Long Travel suspension system on it flexing out on the display rocks.

There was a raffle contest for a $200 gift card to www.RTPROutv.com and a discount code to the website available to all physically attending customers. Under our RT Pro tent we had the new Magellan TRX7 GPS Navigation System on display for customers to try out as well as a great spread of our most popular products on display for customers to see and feel the quality and superior engineering while asking or reps all the questions they wanted.

RT Pro was present on-site for all activities including the outdoor off-road event in which we even did a “parking lot install” of our RZR S 800 Replacement Spring Kit on a new customers custom mini buggy he built using OEM Polaris/Fox shocks and wasn’t happy with the performance with the OEM springs. We were so impressed with his work we wanted to see if we could impress him with our springs and ability to determine the optimal rates for his custom application. In our first try out on the track made available to event participants, we had the buggy handling far better than the original springs and the customer was smiling from ear to ear. This shows two things; One, our springs are so easy to install you can do it in a parking lot. And two, we’re so good at putting the right springs rates on off-road vehicles we can even outfit a completely custom car after simply looking at it and getting some weights. The same people who did this are the ones who designed our Spring Rate Calculator many customers trust to determine the proper rates for their UTV Spring Replacement kits every day.

This is one of the best off-road shows in the country because of the promotors and organizers efforts to make it fun and enjoyable for the participants and the vendors. Every night they put on a gathering and a dinner for everyone including a massive truck/Jeep/UTV show right on the river downtown Louisville called the “River Raid Party” and then the off-road industry descended on the famed “4th Street”, also downtown Louisville, for the “4th Street Invasion” on the final night of the weekend and it was quite a site to see.

We’d like to thank the staff of this event for their hospitality and also all the many customers who stopped by the booth to say hello and check out the best UTV chassis, suspension and protection products on the market. We’re looking forward to next year already. For more information on this event and others put on by the same group see www.uorexpo.com and follow RT Pro on Facebook for more event coverage coming soon.
