2014 Lucas Oil Regionals Southern California Round 3 Race Report

The Speed Energy / SDR Motorsports team traveled to Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Lake Elsinore California to take on the Lucas Oil Regionals of Southern California in round 3. Driver Kyle Martin finished the race among a very talented field of drivers. Driver Kyle Martin stated he was battling overheating issues after lap 4, but the car held up great to the track with no other working issues. Kyle stated, âOur Polaris Rzr XP1K was tearing up the track and flowing smoothly over all the jumps and landing perfectly with our modified Shock Therapy racing shocks, I canât say enough about the amount of comfort and support the Twisted Stitch seats provided as wellâ.
SDR Motorsports proved once again to build a great XP1K that stood up to the challenge! Method Race Wheels kept the car lite and the buildup of mud to a minimum. All of our parts kept their cool in this heated race due to Cryoheat Treatment. Black Rhino/ Racer X allowed for great radio communications excellent support and service during the race. The RT Pro suspension parts provided extremely strong and reliable suspension components throughout the race. The GBC Mongrels shredded the track with no flat tires and cleared every ounce of mud on the track with great ease!
The race car remained rubber side down the entire race with help from Hellwig Products and One Stop suspension parts. After the race the race the vehicle headed back to the SDR Motorsports facility to start the process of lightening things up.
The team would like to recognize their new Lucas Series sponsor for the #939 car driven by Kyle Martin, Radflo Suspension with their new XP1K race tuned shocks. Another sponsor brought on board to help with the #939 is Muzzy Performance. The team added the new Muzzy Performance Exhaust and Fuel controller. Driver Kyle Martin stated he was very happy with the bolt on performance the Muzzy set up offered. The team is going to take some time to recover from the weekendâs events and begin the race prep for the upcoming challenge of the Lucas Oil Regionals at the Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks NV on June 7th.
