RT Pro’s Sam Yokley Clinches GNCC ACE Championship
RT Pro’s Ironman GNCC Single Seat Race Report
RT Pro’s Sam Yokley clinched the GNCC ACE Single Seat Championship with a second place finish at the Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, IN. Fellow RT Pro racer Jesi Stracham finished off the season with a fourth-place finish.
Sam Yokley earned his second consecutive championship after coming into the event with just a one-point lead. He won three races this year and followed that up with two additional podiums. His RT Pro components helped him cope with the difficult course that featured ruts, trees, and a motocross course.
“This was a great race and I made it through and won the championship,” said Yokley. “RT Pro helped me out a lot this year. They gave me great parts and kept me running competitively. Without the high clearance arms, you’ll catch rocks and stumps and just rip them off. We had some good racing this year.”
Stracham, who is paralyzed from the waist down, ran an RT Pro-built Polaris Ace equipped with hand controls all season. Stracham finished fourth in points and earned two podiums during the season.
“This is always my favorite race of the year, and it was a great time,” said Stracham. “RT Pro has been awesome for me over the years.”
With the racing season over, GNCC Series will host its annual banquet November 25 in Morgantown, WV.
